Why we're gathering
You already know which ideas work on paper. What's harder to find is someone who has actually tried one, on ground like yours, in a season like this one.
So we're bringing farmers from across Canada to Prince Edward Island for three days of straight talk. Mornings in the room. Afternoons out on farms, looking at the real thing.

Who's behind this
Innovative Farmers began in 2014, when thirteen farming families in central Prince Edward Island started working together to share ideas and find answers to their common questions. Back then, we were known as the East Prince Agri-Environment Association.
What started around kitchen tables, in fields, and through conversations between neighbours has grown into a network of farmers, researchers, agronomists, watershed groups, and industry experts working together for a more sustainable future.
A lot of good research never makes it to the people who could actually use it. It gets buried in a report, or it was never tested anywhere that looks like a working farm. Closing that gap is most of what we do, and this conference is that same idea, scaled up for three days.
